Tami, and all the other women who posted on here – as much as I'd like to agree with your points of view, the simple fact is men have throughout human history have ALWAYS sexualized images of women (in art, sculpture etc) and ALWAYS will, the media today in my mind is just an extension of what's been happening in the civilised (note the British spelling!) world for centuries – I'm not saying it's fair but that's just the way it is. There ARE obviously those female athletes who will never grace the cover of any men's magazine but given, as the article said, swimming has a relatively low profile I think Amanda's choice is a smart one.
