The gym that I go to launched Body Attack in November 2005, about 2 years ago. I have always wanted to join the very first class, but because of the terrific response, did not manage to get a place. (Like Chinese saying, toilet will always be popular when it is new. This believe goes beyond that.) New class is also definitely be popular, even after a month.

So, what makes Body Attack so popular?

Body Attack is a sports-inspired cardiovascular workout for building strength and stamina. It is a high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises. Upper and body conditioning exercises are involved.

After trying Body Pump, Body Combat and Body Jam, Body Balance was my next target. Body Balance is the combination of Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates workout. That is why whenever people ask me what Body Balance is, I will just tell them that it is the Western version of Yoga and Tai Chi.

According to Les Mills, Body Balance provide the following benefits:

Improve your joint flexibility and range of movement

Increase your core strength

Reduce your stress levels

Provide a lasting sense of well-being and calm

Body Jam is another great cardiovascular workout class from Les Mills. If you like to dance but always have difficulty in following the steps, you should join the class. Not only you will have fun, but you will burn lots of calories in the class. Read on to find out more.

Finally, I have tried Body Jam.

What is Body Jam? Body Jam is a mixture of dance and aerobics moves blended with the latest sounds of hip hop, funk, and Latin American music. It can be considered as a cardio workout. Apart from making you sweat, fun is another important element in the 1-hour class. I realized that what is more important is to release yourself and enjoy the moves in the music. Therefore, not to be confused by the jargons of Body Jam dance moves – double back turn, moon run, jive kick, rip it, grab and drop, tweeter turn, jump turn and krump club routine.

Many have fallen in love with Body Combat class, be them men or women. Have you wondered why? Read on to find out more about this popular Les Mills fitness class as reviewed by Mun.

I was excited to join Body Combat class since I have heard much about this class from friends. What is Body Combat?

Nope, it does not involve soldiers fighting in a combat like in Black Hawk Down, one of my favorite movies.

According to my friend, Body Combat is the most intense fun you will have with two feet on the ground. Puzzled. Wonder how he has reached that conclusion. It is just like telling me that the cock is the most interesting animal because he has not seen a pussy cat before.

OK, back to the topic. Though Body Combat is a martial art based exercise, it is a non-contact fitness program with moves drawn from Karate, Tae Kwan Do, Kung Fu, kickboxing, Muay Thai and Tai Chi. No worry, it does not mean that you need to know any of these martial arts to start learning Body Combat.(...)
Read the rest of Review of Body Combat – Cardio Workout Inspired by Martial Arts (676 words)

One of the main reasons I left Clark Hatch for True Fitness is because of Les Mills classes. I have always curious about these classes, especially Body Pump. What made me curious is how the 1-hour class can be conducted with compelling choreography. So, I attended Body Pump on the first day I joined my new gym.

What is Body Pump? Wonder why the inventor did not call it Body Inflate or Body Pop. How about Body Bomb or Body Hard? Why the sky is blue?
