Continue from Review of Celebrity Fitness Bangsar Village II (1).

Talking about the membership package, the sales person did practise the typical sales gimmick.

After showing us a glossy sales brochure and the pricing information, she asked us, “So, RM888 for the joining fee and RM388 for the monthly fee, what do you think about the price?”

My friend and I looked at each other. Before we said anything, she continued, “Good news is that we have a promotion now. We waive the joining fee and the monthly price is RM328 a month now. But, this promotion is going to end tonight.”

I just nod out heads and said, “We will consider it. Now, will you excuse us as we want to go to the changing room?”

Review of Celebrity Fitness at Bangsar Village II (1)

Finally, went to Celebrity Fitness at Bangsar Village (II) together with a friend for a free trial last weekend. This outlet is located at the fourth floor of Bangsar Village II.

This is Celebrity Fitness fourth Malaysia outlet and it was opened in March 2007. Other Celebrity Fitness outlets are located at One Utama, Subang Parade and Gurney Plaza.

At the entrance, we were greeted by at least three banners with Amber Chia huge picture. At the left side of the entrance, saw a huge board describing fitness dance classes available at this gym. Friend pointed the nicely done curtain hanging inside the gym.

Met the sales person. As expected, she asked lots of questions with a standard questionnaire – What is your fitness goal? How long have you wanted to join a gym? How did you find out about Celebrity Fitness?

Review of Celebrity Fitness at Subang Parade

It has been close to a year since I last went to Celebrity Fitness at Subang Parade. I have been seeing it outside most of the times. But, this time, decided to go with my friend, who is a member at that club, for a workout.

When we drove there to park the car at Carrefour because we plan to do grocery shopping after workout, we actually saw some club members also parked their cars at Carrefour car parks. Simple reason – Subang Parade is charging RM2 whereas Carrefour is not doing that for now. When toll price and petrol price get higher, people are getting more cost-conscious.

Review of Celebrity Fitness at One Utama (1U)

Celebrity Fitness started in Indonesia and it did not take long to set up its first outlet in Malaysia in year 2004. It was located at 1 Utama shopping complex at Bandar Utama. Due to its strategic location and its aggressive marketing effort, it scored brilliantly. Regionally, Celebrity Fitness has since expanded from 8 clubs in year 2005 to 13 clubs in year 2007.
