I agree that people in these positions shouldn't work their selves to the extreme. However, they should try to work some because it helps with focus and mental health. Everyone in the White House needs to start working out ! ! !

I think Americans will vote based on the person's ability to help them solve their problems whether it's economic, social etc. Don't think they will care about how fit the person is. But personally, I prefer the president to be fit and healthy so that he does not sleep in meetings. LOL

I can't believe that Americans would say they can't relate to a possible President because he works out too much. It's like, "Oh, no, he's too much of a good, healthy role model! I can't stand it!"

Wallaawwweehhhh...... last picture really makes me laugh reminiscing the old memories especially during a boring lecture time back in university. But wait till Obama starts running U.S (if he wins), those busy schedules + invitations (of course eat eat eaattttt), maybe he'll gain weight like McCain.

But at least Obama shows a good attitude of having fitness as a lifestyle, rather than excuse of McCain on the Vietnm war. For leaders, I presume 2 level of exercises they should embark:-

1. Physical exercises
2. Mental exercises

From here we can see how fit & creative they are in dealing day-to-day problems with proactive solutions..........

Just my opinion............

Sensational post! And I agree with what Paul & Angie said. It's true- if we cannot control our weight, how can we be expected to run the country- that is the general perception. As for William Tuck- maybe during his time being overweight was the 'in thing'. A healthy president (no need 6 packs la) can send an effective message across and act as a good role model for people to live a healthy lifestyle. just that I hope Obama is not one of those who suffer from eating disorders(in order to stay thin when no time to exercise)... like many celebrities.
