This is a true story. To je resnična zgodba. To me, I will call it a revelation. Da me bo poklical, da je razodetje. I learn many of my lessons through the hard way. I naučili veliko mojega spoznanja skozi trd način.

I dare not claim myself to be the fitness expert. My definition of fitness goes beyond physical fitness . Sem upal ne zahteva zase, da se primernost strokovnjakov. Moja definicija fitnes presega telesno pripravljenost. It includes nutrition which I have much to learn. To vključuje prehrane, ki sem se veliko naučili. In fact, mental fitness is important too, but let's leave it out for now. Dejstvo je, duševne sposobnosti so preveč pomembne, vendar pa je pustiti to za zdaj. Whether it is workouts or diet plans, keeping our weight in check and body in fit condition is imperative for good health. Many of us take health for granted, especially when we were young. I was one too. Mnogi od nas se dodeli za zdravje, še posebej, ko sva bila mlada. Sem eno preveč. Once started working, seldom I did any exercise. Ko je začel delati, le redko sem koli uresničevanje. Fried food was a must in almost all my meals. Ocvrte hrane je treba v skoraj vseh svojih obrokov. Instead of breakfast, lunch was my first meal of the day. Namesto zajtrk, kosilo je bil moj prvi obrok v dnevu.

Never appreciate the importance of health until I was sick during an assignment overseas. Nikoli ne cenim pomembnost zdravja, dokler sem bil bolan med dodeljevanjem čezmorskih. I remembered that I was having terrible fever for few days. Sem se spomnil, da sem bila ob strašna vročina za nekaj dni. Running nose and sore throat came at the same time. Vožnja iz nosu in boleče grlo prišel ob istem času. Lost my appetite too. Lost moj apetit preveč. Body temperature was high during that three days. Three days seemed to be three weeks for me . Telesna temperatura je bila visoka, da v treh dneh. Tri dni se je zdelo, da je tri tedne za mano. Though I have finally recovered, things did not improve. Čeprav sem končno vrniti, stvari niso izboljšale.

My health got worse. Moje zdravje dobil slabše. I fell sick once every three months. Padel sem bolna enkrat na tri mesece. I was so weak. Bila sem tako šibka. Body weight was going down. Telesne teže je bil dol. The worst moment was when my weight has dropped… V najslabšem trenutku, ko je bila moja teža je padla ...

Dropped all the way below 50 kilogram. Padla celo pot pod 50 kg.

It was early of year 2003. Bilo je zgodaj leta 2003.

I knew that I have given myself too many excuses of not exercising. Vedel sem, da sem jih dal sam preveč izgovorov ne uveljavljajo. It was time to make a change. To je bil čas za spremembo. Enough is enough. Dovolj je dovolj.

So, I signed up for a one-year gym membership with Clark Hatch Fitness Center. Torej, Prijavil sem se za eno leto članstva telovadnici z Clark Hatch Fitness center. I paid the fee in one lump sum and I told myself, “No turning back”. I plača pristojbina v enem pavšalnem znesku in sem rekel jaz, "Ni poti nazaj."

I picked up the weight, the lightest I could find in the gym. Sem pobral teže, najlažje bi lahko našli v telovadnici.

I put my feet on the treadmill, the easiest cardiovascular exercise in the gym and I started to run. The feeling was great and I slept well that night though with sore muscles. Sem dal moje noge na Dirinčenje, najlažji srca uresničevanje v telovadnico in sem začel teči. Občutek je bil super in sem spala tudi ponoči, da čeprav z boleče mišice.

It is not really a rocket science. To ni res raketna znanost. Neither is a black magic. It is all about discipline. Niti je črne magije. To je vse o disciplini.

Going to gym is the first step I took. I started with two sessions a week before sticking with 3 to 4 times a week. Bo telovadnica je prvi korak, sem. Jaz sem začel z dvema zasedanje v tednu pred lepljenje s 3 do 4 krat na teden.

At the mean time, I started to make sure to have at least 8 hours of sleep. V vmesnem času, sem začel, da bi bili prepričani, da imajo vsaj 8 ur spanja.

When comes to food, I no longer avoid vegetables and fruits. Ko pride do hrane, jaz ne prepreči zelenjave in sadja.

Also, I drink sufficient water . Tudi jaz pijem dovolj vode.

Time flies. Čas leti. One year. Eno leto. Two years. Dve leti. Three years. Tri leta.

Today, four years later, I am glad with my decision and I never look back. Danes, štiri leta kasneje, sem vesela z mojo odločitev in nikoli ne gledamo nazaj.

    Hi there! Živjo! Just stumbled upon your post when I was “pinging” PPS. Samo posrnuli na vaš post, ko sem bil "pinging" SKM. Hehehe… Hehehe ...

    Anyway, I've just started going to the gym too. Kakorkoli že, sem pravkar začel bo telovadnica preveč.

    What was my catalyst? Kakšen je bil moj katalizator? My baby sis announcing that she'll be getting married in a year's time. Moj otrok sis in napovedalo, da bo ona že poročena v letu.

    Prior to that I'm plagued by health problems relating to my weight. Pred tem sem plagued zdravstvenih težav v zvezi z mojo težo. I'm terribly overweight. Im 'strašno prekomerna.

    Anyway, after starting, I can report that I'm starting to feel much better healthwise. Kakorkoli, ko se začnejo, bom lahko poročilo, da sem začela počutim veliko bolje healthwise.

    Like you said, enough of the excuses. Kot si rekel, dovolj je izgovorov. Just do it… Don't turn back. Samo naredi to ... Ali se ne obrača nazaj.

    I hope that I have the willpower and discipline to keep going. Upam, da bom imela volje in discipline, da nadaljujem. :-) :-)

    Just like you, i grew up as a fat boy. Samo kot si ti, sem odraščal kot maščobe fant. No thanks to asian parenting where they think fat is cute and fat is prosperity. Ne, hvala za azijske starševstvo, kjer menite, da je ljubek maščobe in maščobe je blaginja.

    I grew up with monikers such as fatty bom bom to my name and fei chai after my surname. Odraščal sem z monikers kot so maščobne bom bom, da moje ime in FEI Chai po moj priimek.

    I started relatively late in sports, just like you, about 4 years ago. Sem začela precej pozno v športu, tako kot ti, približno 4 leti.

    Even when i was actively playing rugby, i gave excuse to eat because i told myself i needed the “mass”, but it was nothing but fat that i was putting on. Tudi ko sem aktivno igral rugby, i dal izgovor za jesti, ker sem rekel, jaz sem potreboval "masa", vendar pa ni bilo nič, temveč maščoba, da sem bila kar naprej.

    I touched 90kg and i thought it was all muscle. I dotače 90kg in sem mislil, da je vse mišice. I use the weight lifting regime and the rugby game as my biggest excuse. I uporabiti težo dvižne režima in rugby divjad, kot je moj največji izgovor.

    What i see as BIG, others sees as FAT. Kaj jaz vidim kot velikega, druge vidi kot FAT.

    The road to what i am, and what i want to become has been long. Pot do sem, in kaj bi rad postal je bil dolg. It has been filled with pain, uncertainties and challenges; i'm just glad i made the change. To je bila napolnjena z bolečino, negotovost in izzivi; sem samo vesel, da sem naredil spremembo.

    Great what you are doing. Super, kaj počnete. I have a similar intention when I set up my fitness blog, but you put it much more succinct & eloquently. Imam podoben namen, kadar nastavim moj fitnes blog, vendar pa si ga veliko bolj jedrnat in Rječito. I like the layout. Všeč mi je postavitev. I will definitely include your blog in my blog list so that my visitors can also benefit from more than one person's experience with fitness & weight management. Jaz bom zagotovo vključevati svoj blog na mojem blogu seznam tako, da se moja obiskovalci lahko koristi tudi od več kot eno osebo, izkušnje s fitness & teže upravljanja. We need more fitness 'converts' to tell their story & debunk much of the health myths. Potrebujemo več fitnes "pretvarja", da bi povedal svoje zgodbe & Odvzeti ugled veliko zdravstvenih mitov.

    I can totally relate your story to mine. Ne morem v celoti nanašajo svojo zgodbo, da mine. Once I get started to exercise, in my case, it's yoga, I feel so good. Ko dobim začelo uveljavljati, v mojem primeru, da je joga, počutim se tako dobro. I joined Yogazone two years ago and was so happy to enjoy my classes. I Yogazone pridružili dve leti in je bila tako srečna, da uživa moj razrede. I'm not a very active person. Im 'ne a zelo dejavna oseba. I don't like sport but I get to love yoga. Ne maram športa, ampak bom ljubezen jogo. I would want to learn more but unfortunately, the situation does not permit me to do so. Bi radi izvedeli več, vendar na žalost, se je stanje ne dovoli mi, da to storijo. But I cannot give up, can I? Ampak ne more odpovedati, lahko? Hehe! Hehe!

    I started working out 8 months ago (when I was 16 years old). Sem začel telovaditi 8 mesecev nazaj (ko sem bila stara 16 let). I was 5 foot 8 inches, and about a hundred pounds. Bila sem 5 foot 8 palcev, in okoli sto kil. I was one of the skinniest kids in my high school, and got made fun of, and just had no self confidence. Bil sem eden od skinniest otroci v moji srednji šoli, in dobil je zabavno, in samo ni samozavest. One of the hardest things for me was to get over my total lack of confidence and my crappy posture, and go to the gym to lift around massive muscular guys. Ena od stvari, najhuje mi je bilo, da si mojo popolno pomanjkanje zaupanja in moja crappy držo in pojdite v telovadnico, da odpravi okoli množičnega mišične fantje. It wasn't even the difficulty of lifting the weights, but me, as skinny as I was walking into the gym, struggling to lift the bench bar. Ni bilo tudi težko dviganje uteži, vendar me, kot je suha, kot sem bila hoja v telovadnici, borila za dvigala klopi bar.

    Now, 8 months later and still going to the gym 3-4 times a week, I have gained 33 pounds of muscle mass, (no supplements of any kind, just healthy eating) have at least doubled all of my starting weights from 8 months ago, and can actually run a mile with ease, and just have the confidence overall.     I don't mean to sound cheesy or anything, but working out really has transformed my life. I, ne pomeni, da sirast zvok, ali kaj, vendar delajo v resnici je spremenil moje življenje. I am confident now, actually considered attractive to the ladies, instead of a super skinny freak, and on top of that, most of the stress of high school is gone.
