I came across this product by chance – Diet Fork created by Sean Pomper. Found it pretty interesting.

Let’s see how diet fork help in changing you bad eating habits and eventually help you to lose weight:

  1. Diet fork has shorter and dulled teeth making it hard to grasp large piece of food.
  2. The triangular shaped area is smaller which allows only small food to be hold.
  3. The handle is also designed to be uncomfortable to be hold forcing user to put the fork down between each bite. By doing this, dieter eats slower.

So, the main objective of the diet fork is to make the dieters to scoop less food. Therefore, dieters eat slower which is helpful in weight loss.

Now, let’s think creatively to expand the idea with other more practical ways to help you to eat less. If you are not good in using chopsticks, why not you use them to eat? Since you are not able to pick up anything with the sticks, you will eat much lesser. However, if you will have used them for some time, you will be able to master the skill. Same with the so called diet fork which is sold for $8.95 for a 10 pack.

How about using fork to eat rice and teaspoon to eat ice cream? Probably we will see Diet Spoon soon which is a spoon with a big hole in it?

By torturing yourself too much, I just worry that you will eventually give up in all these funny tools and use both of your hands to eat instead! So, whether diet fork, diet spoon, chopsticks or teaspoon, at the end of the day, it is the will power that makes the difference when come to diet control. Save your $8.95 and use your will power instead. Diet fork is just a fork that does not work.

I still prefer a normal fork. How about you?

Sean Poper is a joke with the Diet-Fork as the Sopranos say “GET OUTTA HERE!”
