Have you ever tried to hang your fruit on the wall?

Now, with “The Ring”, it is possible.

Nope, I am not talking about the horror movie – The Ring.

I am talking about The Ring created by Joung Myung Lee from Germany. It has an unusual shape to store fruits in round shape. But, sorry, no place for durian and banana.

Fruit is inserted into the ring through the opening at the top and it can be taken out from the bottom. Both sides have the openings for you to see the amount of remaining fruit. Porcelain is used as the material because it is eco-friendly.

The Ring is placed on the wall and making it as an art item, rather than a practical item. May be, for people who find space is precious in the kitchen, The Ring on the wall will be useful. In fact, like what the designer claims, it is a modern version of still life fruit paintings and it can be used to replace the boring fruit bowl.

Some of my friends think that it looks like a life preserver. They said that it may not be possible to know whether the fruit halfway down the ring is still fine or bad. I believe by using a see-through material will solve this issue. Also, some people may want to choose, instead of taking the given one at the bottom of the ring. Of course, one can keep on taking until he gets what he wants.

Personally, I still like the design. For those who have juice bar at home, in fact, pub or restaurant owners, they should have these cool rings hanging up there. With lemon, orange or apple, these rings will be really attractive.

As a matter of fact, eating fruit is good. Good for health and helpful for weight loss.

This is a brilliant idea, by simply having the fruit right in front of your face you are more likely to eat more of it; whereas if you have to search for it on your refrigerator; by simply opening the refrigerator door you are more likely to grab something else that could be less healthy.
