Don’t eat enough Vitamin C from orange? How about get it from your underwear?
AussieBum, Australian underwear company, has a range of vitamin and ginseng enriched undies called Essense. The company claimed that these minerals will be absorbed through the skin and give your whole body an overall feeling of wellbeing. These briefs stay vital until 15 washings, and then they should be soaked in “Essence Extender” to re-energize them. They are sold in sachets. How to “re-energize” them? Soak the garment for 20 minutes with the mixture of Extender and warm water, then drip dry away from direct heat.
According to the company, it produces special blend of polyester and lycra which are able to trap organic substances like vitamin C or ginseng. These substances are then released slowly by natural body heat. The company founder, Sean Ashby, even claimed that the company has planned to a Viagra version in future. When asked how he came out such an unusual idea. He said, during a drinking session in pub, one of his staffs joked that they should put vitamin in their undies. The next day, he went ahead with that idea.
Whether you buy into the idea, a month after its launch, aussieBum has sold more than 25,000 pairs of these underpants worldwide.
