Kamasutra and Yoga

My friends and I have talked about this topic in one occasion – does yoga has anything to do with Kama Sutra? Let’s try to understand what Kamasutra and Yoga are.

What is Kamasutra?
The Kamasutra is an ancient Indian text on sex, widely considered to be the standard work on love in the Sanskrit literature.

The text was written by Vatsyayana and he is believed to have lived sometime between the 1st to 6th centuries A.D.

Kama Sutra contains 35 chapters, organized into 7 parts, each written by individual experts in the respective fields. It contains a total of 64 sexual positions and depicts positions as arts. How about Yoga?

Many people think that yoga is stretching. But while stretching is certainly involved, yoga is about creating balance in the body by developing strength and flexibility.

This is done through the performance of poses, each of which has specific physical benefits.

Hey, You Still Haven’t Answered My Question – Can Learn Yoga to Master Kama Sutra (or Vice Versa)?

No, Kamasutra is meant for people to enjoy sex in an “organized” way. So, Kamasutra has NOTHING to do with pure Yoga and does not help Yoga practice in any way.

Feel disappointed? Come on, do not be so horny. If you are a guy, go and master Yoga till your head and touch the place between your thigh, and you will be doing fine.
