I've been wondering about malaysia's kfc, mcD, and burger king's use of trans fat. I mean we all know the american counterparts have declared/are on their way to declare their menus trans-fat-free. no information on the net is available about malaysia's fast food chains. any ideas?

Does anyone know whether KFC still has a seriously level of hydrogenated fat?

It used to be cooked in this stuff - the dreaded 'trans fats'! Unless their chicken wraps etc are grilled now, I would still avoid KFC like the plague if you are serious about losing weight!

I prefer good old bread, cereal, fruits or yogurt as my breakfast, rather than these fast food breakfast. Took a set once and went yuck!

However, it is worrying that the govt is allowing all these fast food outlets to operate 24hrs and talk about obesity in our country... What a lot of double-talk!

Anyway, i like the idea of the 24-hr gym since I may have to work on shift, hence, I can go to the gym during odd hours. ;-)

How about instead some good ole fashion porridge followed by a protein shake (bananas + almonds + protein + water + Blender = breakfast!).

Nasi Lemak in KFC? Why not go to a hawker center instead? But digressing, there used to be Chicken Porridge in KFC some years back. It used to be very popular because of the novelty, but a while later, it was taken down the menu.
