Legs Workout (7) – Plie Squat

In order to activate your inner thighs (adductor muscle) which do not receive much attention, you can try plie squat (Plié squat). Plie squat is a bit like squat done by those sumo before they wrestle but the movement is more similar with ballet move. In addition to inner thighs, plie squat also simultaneously works your glutes (butt) and quadriceps (front thighs).

Somehow, I find that most women love plie squat since they are concerned with their inner thighs. (more…)

Does coffee has oil in it and therefore making it having high calories?

I am not sure whether you have thought about that. But, wait, before we even talk about low or high calories, does coffee has oil in it? In this post, we will find out.

Coffee bean itself actually has oils on it. When coffee bean is roasted, the sugar, fat and starch within the bean will be emulsified and released. This process create the delicate coffee oil. It is the oil that gives coffee distinctive aroma and taste. The next time you are in a coffee shop, you will see the barista often needs to clean the expresso machine. Why? How To Use Plastic Containers Safely In Microwave?

Some people are against the use of plastic containers in microwave. They believe that the plastic may leach into food. Once the contaminated food is consumed, they worry that this material could affect body hormones causing development of cancer or birth defect.

However, according to US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), freezing and microwaving plastic food containers and wraps may cause small amount of chemicals (used to make certain plastics) leach into food. However, this leach is still within safe limits based on information available to the agency. FDA does not deny that it will revisit the safety evaluation if new scientific information is available. Will Weather Affect Your Decision to Exercise?

If it is raining heavily, I will be less enthusiastic to go to the gym. If the weather is too hot out there, I prefer to stay at home and wait till the sun goes down first. But, in a good day with nice weather, I will take my bike and cycle outdoor. So, yes, to certain extent, weather does affect my decision to exercise.

Living in a tropical country which rains normally take place on late afternoon and stop before night time, and also partly because of my work schedule, night time currently is the best workout time for me. For the past few years, I have slowly built up the habit of working out at night. (more…)
