Some of you may have experienced numb toes when you are exercising on elliptical machine or Stair Master.  This numbness often come all of a sudden and may force you to stop working out.  Someone even came up with a term called “Elliptical Trainer Sleepy Foot Syndrome”.  Surprisingly, many suffer from this problem, but seldom talk about it.  Now, let’s find out why it happens and I will share with you some of the tips to prevent it from happening again.

Why You Should Not Do Behind-The-Neck Lat Pull Down?

Lat pull down is a favorite exercise in gym. No doubt, if done correctly, lat pull down help obtain “V” shape. However, I have seen some are doing pulling the bar behind their head with the belief that by pulling the bar down behind the head, they get a fuller contraction for the lats muscles. I used to do it too when I first started working out, but immediately advised by a fitness instructor not to do it. Yes, behind the head lat pull down should be avoided. Why? We will find out the reasons.

12 Activities You Can Do To Burn Calories While You Are Having Beach Holiday

Beach is a good place to relax during summer.  However, it is also a good place for a wonderful workout.  I have tried quite a number of workouts and they are so fun until I forgot that I was actually exercising and burning calories.  Certainly, it is not about treadmill or dumbbell.


Here are 12 activities you can try.

  1. Build sandcastle.  You dig sand, carry water with pail and build the castle far away from the water.  Imagine you will make many trips to and from your castle.  You work out your legs, core muscles and arm strength.  If you like to burn more calories, try a few bicep curls with your bucket full with water or sand. How To Build Muscle Mass with Drop Sets?

Getting bored with the straight 3 sets of weight lifting? If you are looking for a new way to train and way to build muscle mass, try drop set.

Other names of drop set are descending sets, strip sets or stripping technique. A drop set is a technique where you do as many repetitions as you can with a certain weight until failure. Then, immediately lower the weight and do more reps with little rest between sets. For instance, you start with 25 pound dumbbells for shoulder press. You lift as many times as you can without compromising your form until you are exhausted. Then, you drop the weight to 20 pound and continue lifting until failure.
