This post is written by one of readers of this blog, Jonathan. He shared with us how he started in gym, the mistakes he made, lessons he learned and how he set his fitness goals. This article is a must read.

“Hi all, I’m Jonathan Wong. I have been involved in fitness for the past 6 years or so. I am currently a certified Les Mills instructor in Body Pump, Body Balance and RPM. Fitness is my passion as well as profession.

I actually started working out seriously as an offshoot to my interest in rock climbing. Rock climbing was the first sport that I truly enjoyed, so I was climbing indoors and out about 4 to 5 times a week. So began my journey of research, experimentation and learning into the world of fitness. There are definitely no shortages of resources for one to learn from, I feel it is only understanding and choosing what is relevant and useful for the given situation that one is in. (more…)

Beer Mug That Shows How Much Calories You Have Drunk

posted on November 16th, 2008 ·

This is a mug which has measurement on how much calories you will be drinking if you finish that mug of beer. Based on the picture, it indicates 300 milliliter of beer equals 150 calories.

May be people who are health conscious will appreciate this mug, but most who drink will not really care about how much calories in the beer.

OK, take it as a joke.

Does Sex Still Sell in Sports?

Unlike Amanda Bread and Ashley Harkleroad, Jennie Finch has actually turned down Playboy’s lucrative offer to appear on the magazine cover. However, Lauren Jackson who is one the best Australian basket ball players will probably disagree. (more…)

But, I was glad that I learn few tips by watching, listening and being friends with these senior citizens.

1) They May Look Weak But They Are Not Out
I watched an old man, probably at my dad’s age doing deadlift under the guidance of a personal trainer. Then, I saw a late 60s woman balancing a pair of dumbbells and getting ready for shoulder press. (more…)
