Finally, went to Celebrity Fitness at Bangsar Village (II) together with a friend for a free trial last weekend. At the entrance, we were greeted by at least three banners with Amber Chia huge picture. Na entrada, fomos saudados por, pelo menos, três banners com Amber Chia enorme fotografia. After all, we wanted to get this standard procedure completed soonest possible so that we could really work out. Machines meant for upper body are located at first floor, with the exception of few – triceps machine are located at ground floor. Also, as this place is located at the highest floor, the roof is exposed with the hot afternoon sunlight. The other thing that caught my attention is the personal trainer. A outra coisa que me chamou a atenção é o personal trainer. Instead of using the typical “Personal Trainer”, “Fitness Instructor”, Celebrity Fitness call them “Rapid Result Coach”. Em vez de usar o típico "Personal Trainer", "Fitness Instrutor", Celebrity Fitness chamar-lhes "Rapid Resultado Coach". Rapid result? Rapid resultado? Interesting, not sure it means 1 week or 1 month to see the result. Interessante, não tenho certeza, isso significa 1 semana ou 1 mês para ver o resultado.

It's true as they call themselves “Rapid Result Coach” as these guys are more experienced and they're the senior trainers/instructors. They overlooked those regular ones, which happened to be their juniors. Eles esquecidos os regulares, que passou a ser os seus juniores.

Mun, do you just walk into all these gyms for free trials? Mun, não é só andar em todos estes ginásios gratuitamente ensaios? (without having any free pass already?) or you actually had some kind of “free trial pass” beforehand? (sem ter qualquer livre passar já?) ou se você realmente tivesse alguma espécie de "passe livre julgamento" de antemão?

Hi Vertigo: Thanks. Oi Vertigo: Obrigado. I could see other gyms are doing the same by differentiating the junior and senior personal trainers, either by the title or the uniform color. Eu podia ver outros ginásios estão a fazer o mesmo por diferenciar a júnior e sénior treinadores pessoais, seja pelo título ou pela cor uniforme.

I went to some gyms with free pass from friends; some I called up to make an appointment; some I just walked in; as for others, was invited by the gym staffs (not management though). Fui a alguns ginásios com passe livre de amigos, alguns até me convidou para fazer uma nomeação; Só entrei em alguns, enquanto para outros, foi convidado pelo ginásio pessoal (embora não de gestão).

CELEBRITY FITNESS POLICY SUCKS CELEBRITY ADEQUABILIDADE POLÍTICA Sucks
I signed up as member for Celebrity Fitness Centre in Bangsar for a one year trial (pre-opening) after keen persuation by its sales personnel. Eu me inscrevi como membro de Celebridade Centro de Fitness Bangsar em um ano para uma prova (pré-abertura), após forte persuation pelo seu pessoal de vendas. I later moved to transfer my membership to their Subang Jaya outlet. Eu mais tarde mudou-se para transferir a minha inscrição para a sua saída Subang Jaya. As a requirement, I have to charge the monthly fees to my credit card. Como uma exigência, eu tenho que cobrar as taxas mensais para o meu cartão de crédito. After about 9 months of being a member I only used the facility once and decided to terminate the membership. The Customer service personnel convinced me to complete the one year term otherwise I have to pay for a termination fee. Eu então concordou em continuar a completar um ano do prazo.
To my surprise and astonishment, they continue to charge my credit card on the monthly fees after the one year term. Para minha surpresa e espanto, elas continuam a cobrar o meu cartão de crédito sobre as taxas mensais um ano depois do prazo. Upon checking they told me that my membership was automatically renewed as provided by the small prints at the back of the contract / sign up forms. Após a verificação disseram-me que a minha inscrição foi prorrogado automaticamente, conforme previsto pela pequena imprime na parte de trás do contrato / inscrição formas. This was never explained to me during the signing-in. Isso nunca foi explicado para mim durante a assinatura-in. I realised the extra charges 4 months late and sought for reimbursements but were declined despite acknowledging that they did not inform me of the automatic renewal of membership. The facilities here are actually pretty good, but the customer service sucks. As instalações aqui são realmente muito bom, mas o serviço ao cliente é uma porcaria.
Especially the manager, Agus, who happens to be a real jerk. Especialmente o gerente, Agus, que acontece de ser um verdadeiro idiota. They seem to have a holier-than-thou attitude in dealing with customers. Eles parecem ter um santo do que tu atitude nas relações com os clientes. How about taking some classes in customer service? Que tal tomar algumas aulas de serviço ao cliente? I considered signing-up here but went with California Fitness in Mid-Valley instead because I was so put off by their behavior. I think that there's much more to a gym than having good equipment. Penso que há muito mais a um ginásio do que ter bom equipamento. If the people around you are emitting bad vibes, it just spoils the whole work-out experience. Se as pessoas ao seu redor são más vibrações que emite, é só estraga todo o work-out experiência. This is especially true here because the membership desk is like the control deck on Starship Enterprise, overlooking the whole gym floor. Isto é especialmente verdade aqui, porque a adesão secretária é como o controle sobre pavimento Starship Enterprise, dominando todo o ginásio chão. I mean, WTF? Quero dizer, WTF? I don't want to have to look at the person's face who just made me a few thousand ringgit poorer while I'm doing my lats.
