Oh, believe me — i don’t think operations hours are the only thing they are going to cut down.

They used to have “movie channel” on their astro screens but they have since removed that as well.

Also, leakage from the ceiling piping in the ladies’ changing room has been left unattended since day one when I joined in March 2009.

A few comment, very very sick of their management.
True Fitness think their customers are ignorant.
1)Before signing the agreement with them, they say operation hour is from 6 to 12pm for 7 days.
After sign agreement half year already, they change their operation hour to 11pm and sunday 10pm. I strongly believe they bully their members. Are we stupid consumer?
2)Before signing the agreement with them, they say all the equipments are for the member. During visiting, he show us all the equipments and say members can use all these equipment for the fitness.
After signing up! My god! All reasons come out! They say certain Equipment needed a trainer, we should not Touch! So it is for trainer because we are too stupid to use so Professional equipment! I have a bachelor degree, I believe I know how to read manual even the trainers are not train me. I in business for more than 15 years, I and most of us know business trick. But fitness center should understand business Ethic. Sorry, if true fitness think cheating is a business for them, I will bring this case to Ministry of consumer.

This is a reply to Kenneth. i did not pay my remaining Tru Fitness gym fees since they have cheated me during membership signup. they charge me 250++ everymonth isnt tht too expensive????? i told them i didnt want yoga facilities but they cover it up into my account. what happen now is they threaten me to send me SUMMONs!!! so dont ever2 join True Fitness. u can join any othert fitness club but not TF cos u wont know wht will happen along 1 year of ur contract!!

why am i not surprised by all your comments about true Fitness at this point …i was about to write some myself but you all have already mentioned everything I had in mind. ;)

I am not regretting every moment that I switched my membership from California Fitness to True fitness! damn..

Am tied to a contract of 2 years with TF and once this is over, i’ll def go back to CF> everything at CF seems more right than at TF!

I’m getting fed up with True Fitness Sri Hartamas. The tricep machine on the 2nd floor has been out of service for more than a month. I had complained about it about 6 weeks ago to a worker called Ilham who told me management would repair it. Today before I went to the 1st floor I saw him at the drinks counter and asked whether the machine had been repaired… his response…. ‘have you gone to see whether its repaired?’ I said ‘no, is it repaired?’ HIs response’ You can go and check to see whether its repaired’.

And of course.. its STILL OUT OF SERVICE.

And today…. the air con in the RPM studio was not working. By the end of the session the floor had pools of all our sweat.. most of it was from the instructor Colin.

I think its time I look for another gym but I’m locked into a contract for the next 3 years. sigh..

hi guys- confidently im telling u founder membership is 7349 for new member. if you are existing member, you have to minus whatever month you used already and pay the balance of 7349.

Black vip card is different, its only for 5 years world wide but no bikram hot yoga.

All guys not be cheated, its really true, i pay the same amount too

i) from my understanding, the Founder VIP’s Worldwide will NOT allow us to use India’s facility (not too sure why, but i it could be TF India is not wholly owned by True Yoga Group)

…the rm99 poster is very misleading with the word WORLDWIDE… as our contract is stamped with Name of the country: Msia, Thailand, Spore, Taiwan. in fact the corp website doesn’t include India in it’s map http://www.trueyoga.com.sg/map.htm

ii) it should be a standard rate…mine is rm7300+..i did not hv to bargain..anyone got cheaper? . i think u should call the general number, ask for any consultant & re-enquire, any consultant can sign up for u…

now that we already hv 2 flavor of Black Card VIP, i forsee there will be a varieties of Black Card VIP in the future….tsk tsk tsk.. i hope they conglomerate it soon…

Hi Alan:

1) Yes, I have the same concern as you. I took up my Black card VIP about 1.5 years ago back in Feb 07. Bikram Yoga was not offered then.

After it is available, I am denied for the access to Bikram Yoga.

So, you have the right concern. True Fitness just opened a new outlet in India. Please make sure that the so called “international” package includes all the outlets.

Let me know once you find out more. Many readers are keen to know too.

2) Go and talk to another sales person in another True Fitness. You do not have to upgrade your membership from the outlet you have signed from.

You may be surprised that different numbers are given.

However, based on what I know, the latest Black Card VIP offering is about RM7,300+

In your case, since you have paid about RM4000+, just top up another RM3100+ should do.

Let me know how it goes.
