You have no idea how you cracked me. I could nt stop laughing. Anyway, you are right but the problem is that im fat. I needed to loose 20kg and have 10kg left. Unfortunately, it seems I have reached my plateau. I cant seem to loose any kilo now despite my exercise routine.

Careful there sleeze, at that rate you may become non-existant very soon!

Too many oranges are VERY BAD for you! They have a very high sugar content and will result in weight gain not loss! Better to eat 5 DIFFERENT fruits a day. Also 5 oranges does NOT mean you are having your 5-a-day, you are just having 5 times 1 of your 5-a-day. It has to be 5 different fruit/veg (not 5 x 1 of same fruit/veg!) OK!

I eat one apple or 2 carrots in the morning before a bowl of cereal or oats, drink a lot of water, and full meal for lunch and a bowl of fruit salad for dinner (1banana, 1apple, 1kiwi, grapes) with 5 spoons of &peaches with 5spoons of low fat yoghurt(100g=35 cal). I have lost 20kg in 4months.I cant survive without fruits. I also exercise 5times a week for 1hr.

It could be partly due to your stomach bloating from the fructose sugars of the fruit you are consuming. How it happens is when there is excess fructose/sugars in your stomach, the friendly bacteria and bad bacteria feast upon the sugars, fermenting them and thus releasing gases-you might experience flatulence.

When you snack on those oranges, perhaps have you considered your total daily calorific intake? A healthy diet should include regular exercise, the body will metabolize the excess into fat all the same, be it organic or non-organic.

hey there,

this article caught my interest. its winter, and ive been bingin on a lot of chocolate and wafer, thus leads to my additional 3kgs.

so, now im training myself, so that whenever i feel like having a snack, i would reach for an orange, or strawberries. other than that, im also going on a healthy diet, eating organic food. but these past week, ive only been snacking on orange, say like 5 per day. and the problem is im gaining weight, i am getting chubby. perhaps anyone have any ideas why?

note to all, everything in moderation is the key
i took to eating fruits whenever i felt like snacking, so on average i consumed about 1banana, 2 mandarins, 2/3 pear/apples in a day.

the result was i experienced frequent flatulence, and a visit to a gastronomist confirmed that i had helicobacter bacteria in my gut, and also a slight intolerance from fructose(fruit sugar, namely apples and pears, not citrus fruits).

now i take about 2 kiwifruit sized fruits a day., so its best to have 'too much of a good thing'. Asians especially seem to have a high chance of having moderate intolerance of fructose or other sugars.
