I don’t know who Vincent Ng was. Saw his book at MPH few weeks ago. The cover page showing his nice ripped body has caught my attention. Based on what I found from the Internet, Vincent Ng is a former Singapore athlete in Wushu. He later became an artiste with Mediacorp. Now, he is an author for this book.

Whatever reasons he wrote this book, I guess that it will probably sell in Singapore. I have to give credit to the excellent photography showing his torso.By spending 15 minutes flipping the pages, content wise, not bad.

Apart from an opportunity for Vincent to flash his assets, the book actually provides practical advice on how you can firm up your body in 10 weeks. That is the reason the title of the book is actually TEN: A Lean and Sculpted Body in Ten Weeks. To lose 5.5% body fat by increasing 3.3 kg muscle mass within 10 weeks – that was what he has achieved under strict monitoring and coaching.

The exercises, the advice and the experience, though good, is nothing new. The exerises can be found in almost other fitness books or from the Internet. However, one cannot deny the fact that not everyone can write a book and showing fantastic body shape like Vincent.

This former world wushu champion-turned-actor is at the forefront of a trend that is seeing more Asian celebrities trying to keep up with their female counterparts by showing well toned bodies – in the name of getting ahead or being metrosexual. With workout in gym, men are generally more confident in their physiques.

I guess the books will go into his female fan’s collection. And I guess, the gay will drool over his shirtless pictures too. As for a straight man like myself, his nice torso photo at the front page will be my motivation.

If you have bought this book, I would like to hear from you.

You can get the book from your local bookstore. If it is not available, you can order it from Amazon.

saw the book in borders b4. i thought he was a HK celebrity or something. he looks leaner in the last 2 pics compared to the book cover?

Yeah, his book is though good, nothing special. I’ve read it and it’s good till Kevin Zahri came up with another fitness24/7 book. That one, is really a must have! And if you’d ask which one to choose, I’ll definitely choose Kevin’s book. More comprehensive, rather than Vincent’s kind of Journal book.

he must be having a hard time sucking in his tummy like that to constantly shows the 6 pack. :)

Motivation? definately! I’ve trained so hard whole year long and i have no 6 pack! just very loose pants!

there’s no exercise to “make my abs look better”. 1,000,000 situps, crunches and whatever ab exercise doesnt make your abs look better!

key is your nutrition, in simpler words… its all about what you eat. you can do 1000 crunches a day but if you dont eat right, you’ll never get your abs to be visible.

I do agree with trey . Nutrition, diet and determination is the key. I used to have er…. 4 packs but it all went down longkang when i got pregnant. Now have to restart my engine lah.

BTW Vincent has his TV program in Astro AEC during weekends.

I wonder what supplements he used. Pretty sure he did, although actualy gym work & nutrition plays a big part.

there’s a process called muscle contouring. im sure he did a lot of training supplements and all but most likely that he took a few sessions of the muscle contouring thing somewhere, further enhancing his abs.

Dear all who envies Vincent’s physique. I’m a former Wushu national athlete and I have to admit that we have very toned physique. There is no muscle countouring thingy to get Vincent’s abs. Me and all my contemporaries in Wushu (regardless guys or girls) have at least 4 packs. Yes, lots of crunches…to a point where it’s automatically part of our daily routine. Therefore, there’s no need for Vincent to suck in his tummy to attain the look of constantly having six packs.

I agree with wugirl. Im just a manga artist but I got friends who practise wushu. I can testify wat she said its true. I was pretty fat in the past. With more disciplined diet and more exe. I got slight 4 packs lately. :)
