Ultimately, the only person responsible for your own fitness is yourself.

I think people get into these feel good zones and they make resolutions and say they’ll start on Monday. That type of approach never gets anyone anywhere with fitness. Fitness starts with exhibiting good portion control and healthy choices at your next meal and every meal thereafter and choosing to go for a walk or bicycle ride as opposed to laying up on a couch watching mindless stuff after work or on weekends.

It’s so easy for people to pick up copies of fitness magazines and admire the models on the cover and just lose themselves in the dream, isn’t it?

Eat less, exercise more, get used to feeling hungry for the rest of your life and don’t expect any meaningful results for months and months. Anything else is just detail.
