Natural Remedy for Acne

November 17th, 2012 · No Comments ·

Acne is one problem that we all have to go through. Whether its pre teen years, pregnancy months or even those rough days, acne is always an added misery. I too was one of the people who had to deal with acne, but fortunately my acne was not hereditary or severe. It was temporary breaks which would often be healed through some old handed down home remedies. Here are some of the natural remedies for acne that I tried, and was very happy with the results.

Now this was one quick home remedy that I got to know from a friend. When last month I had some pimples popping up on my cheeks, I decided to give this remedy a try. I put the toothpaste on overnight, without rubbing it off. By morning the paste had dried my acne and it was no more an inflamed ugly looking pimple. I repeated the procedure for two nights and amazingly my acne was all gone! However this is for temporary, off and on acne and may not be of much use for severe or hereditary acne.

Baking Soda
Baking soda is also another great natural home remedy for acne. My friend had a severe cyst that would not go off with the toothpaste, so what she did was use baking soda. Since she had oily skin which further aggravated the situation, the baking soda helped to eradicate some of her excess oil. All she had to do was make a simple paste out of baking soda, water and sea salt. Applied it on her face for overnight and washed it off in the morning. The inflamed cyst will gradually lose out on the intensity. However, for dry skin people, this solution should be used only with proper consultation as baking soda is not good for people who already have rough scaly skin.

Aloevera is an ancient healing herb that is used for beauty problems. Regardless of the extent of your acne, you can always try an aloevera gel to see its amazing results. All you have to do is apply the paste on your face and leave for an hour or so. Wash it off carefully and you will see a positive change. Remember however that aloevera is a herb and it has strong properties, so before using it I suggest you visit a herbal expert on a dermatologist who would help you with the process.

My acne has always been kept in control through these basic home remedies, however, if you happen to be suffering from a serious form of acne, you may require medical help.
